Over the years, HTS has established continued success with our clients and this can be highly demonstrated in the case of IBM.
HTS started providing services for one of IBM’s major clients, Legal & General, to migrate and consolidate three of its data centres to IBM owned data centres. The main role was to provide physical-to-virtual conversion, virtual-to-virtual migration and data centre consolidation. The work carried out proved to be a massive success.
As a result of the successful delivery and impressive work with L&G, HTS was offered another term with IBM for one of their major retail vendors, SAINSBURY’S. With this project we were involved in designing, implementing and testing the virtual infrastructure whilst also demonstrating the proof of concept for performance uplift, enhanced resiliency and agility, cost and power savings as well as automation and reducing management overheads. This project was once again a success resulting in Sainsbury’s deciding to roll-out the solution throughout their branches and purchasing £23 million worth of IBM hardware and services.
After HTS’ second success with IBM, IBM brought us in to carry out a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure proof of concept for another one of their valued clients, AVIS. We came on board and with our usual high-standard approach, met AVIS’ technical and business goals leading to a roll-out of our solution throughout their offices in the UK and Europe.
Currently, HTS are also onboard for IBM’s £30 million IT rationalisation project with Vodafone where our work is adding value to the technical resources of this project. The expected completion date of this project is June 2015.
